Adams State University Board of Trustees

The Adams State University Board of Trustees makes policy for the school and oversees its operation.

effective January 1, 2024 for terms expiring December 31, 2027:

  • Anne Trujillo of Denver, Colorado, appointed. 

Board of Governors of the Colorado State University System

The Board of Governors of the Colorado State University System is the governing board for Colorado State University System.  The Board selects the presidents of these schools and generally oversees the schools, including determination of salaries and tuition, conferring degrees and carrying out other legal functions. 

effective January 1, 2024 for terms expiring December 31, 2027:

  • Nathaniel Easley Jr. of Denver, Colorado, reappointed;
  • Polly Barragan Baca of Denver, Colorado, reappointed.

Broadband Deployment Board

The Broadband Deployment Board implements and administers the deployment of broadband service in unserved areas of the state by awarding grants from the Broadband Fund.

for a term expiring August 17, 2026:

  • Jonas Durham of Denver, Colorado, to serve as a representative of the Office of Information Technology, occasioned by the resignation of Mark Colwell of Erie, Colorado, appointed.

Colorado Mesa University Board of Trustees

The Colorado Mesa University Board of Trustees makes policy for the school and oversees its operation.

Colorado Podiatry Board

The Colorado Podiatry Board conducts examinations and institutes hearings to revoke, suspend, deny or reissue licenses.

effective March 17, 2024 for terms expiring March 17, 2028:

  • Dr. Michael Vaardahl of Greeley, Colorado, to serve as a podiatrist, reappointed;
  • Dr. Staci Bogin of Commerce City, Colorado, to serve as a podiatrist, reappointed.

Colorado School of Mines Board of Trustees

The Colorado School of Mines Board of Trustees makes policy for the school and oversees its operation.

effective January 1, 2024 for a term expiring December 31, 2027:

  • Michael Coors of Evergreen, Colorado, to serve as an alumnus of the school, appointed.

Colorado Water Resources and Power Development Authority Board of Directors

The Water Resources and Power Development Authority finances, develops, constructs and maintains water projects in Colorado and administers the Drinking Water and Water Pollution Control Revolving Funds.

for terms expiring October 1, 2027:

  • Steven Eric Vandiver of Alamosa, Colorado, to serve as a representative from the Rio Grande drainage basin, and as a representative with experience in the engineering aspects of water projects, reappointed;
  • Michael Fabbre of Crested Butte, Colorado, to serve as a representative from the Gunnison-Uncompahgre drainage basin, and as a representative with experience in water project financing, reappointed;
  • Matthew Shuler of Walden, Colorado, to serve as a representative from the North Platte drainage basin, appointed.

Commission on Judicial Discipline

The Commission monitors and disciplines misconduct of judges and justices of the state courts of Colorado and provides education programs to judges on their ethics obligations under the Colorado code of Judicial Conduct. 

for terms expiring June 30, 2027:

  • Ingrid Barrier of Denver, Colorado, to serve as an attorney, appointed;
  • Stefanie Trujillo of Commerce City, Colorado, to serve as a non-attorney, appointed.

Environmental Justice Advisory Board

The Environmental Justice Advisory Board administers the environmental justice grant program, advises the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) on engaging with disproportionately impacted communities, and responds to policy questions referred by the Governor and CDPHE Executive Director.

for terms expiring October 31, 2025:

  • Cindy Chang of Wheat Ridge Colorado, to serve as a representative of a nongovernmental organization that represents statewide interests to advance environmental justice, occasioned by the resignation of Jason Swann of Denver, Colorado, appointed;
  • Stephanie Felix of Commerce City, Colorado, to serve as a representative of worker interests in disproportionately impacted communities, occasioned by the resignation of Josette Jaramillo of Pueblo, Colorado, appointed;

for terms expiring October 31, 2027:

  • Steven Arauza of Rifle, Colorado, to serve as a person who is or has been a resident of a disproportionately impacted community, reappointed;
  • Christina Yebuah of Aurora, Colorado, to serve as a person who is or has been a resident of a disproportionately impacted community, reappointed.

FAIR Plan Association Board of Directors

The FAIR Plan Association is established to provide property insurance coverage, including commercial property insurance, when such coverage is not available from admitted companies. The Fair Plan Association shall: establish, offer and maintain property insurance and a commercial property insurance policy. The FAIR Plan Association may issue property insurance policies.

for a term expiring January 1, 2026:

  • Ellen Schaeffer of Castle Rock, Colorado, to serve as a representative of interests of consumers and consumer advocacy, occasioned by the resignation of Sterling Leija of Gypsum, Colorado, appointed.

Fort Lewis College Board of Trustees

The Fort Lewis College Board of Trustees makes policy for the school and oversees its operation.

Metropolitan State University of Denver Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of Metropolitan State University of Denver is the governing body for the Metropolitan State University of Denver.  The Board is responsible for all contracts, property, rules, and regulations governing the Metropolitan State University of Denver.

  • Ryan Frazier of Aurora, Colorado, occasioned by the resignation of Michael Kopp of Denver, Colorado, appointed;

Sickle Cell Anemia Advisory Committee

The Sickle-Cell Anemia Board uses the existing staff and facilities of the University of Colorado School of Medicine to establish programs and conduct research for the care and treatment of persons suffering from sickle-cell anemia.  The Board shall be composed of eleven members representing hospitals, voluntary agencies interested in sickle-cell anemia, medical specialists in sickle-cell anemia patient care, and the general public.

for terms expiring January 31, 2028:

  • Briyana Harper of Aurora, Colorado, to serve as a representative of a voluntary agency interested in sickle cell anemia, reappointed;
  • Wanda Foster of Colorado Springs, Colorado, to serve as a representative of a voluntary agency interested in sickle cell anemia, reappointed;
  • Cheri Burge of Fort Lupton, Colorado, to serve as a representative of the public, reappointed;
  • Arte Hogan of Aurora, Colorado, to serve as a representative of the public, reappointed.

State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education

The State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education is the governing body for the state community college system and the coordinating board for local district colleges.  It also coordinates the activities of area vocational schools.

effective January 1, 2024 for terms expiring December 31, 2027:

  • Tatiana Hernandez of Longmont, Colorado, appointed; 
  • Catherine Shull of Fort Morgan, Colorado, reappointed. 

University of Northern Colorado Board of Trustees

The University of Northern Colorado Board of Trustees makes policy for the school and oversees its operation.
