ARIZONA

Off-farm corn stocks in Arizona on March 1, 2018 were 2.50 million bushels, down 5 percent from March 1, 2017, according to the March 1 Agricultural Survey and March Grain Stocks Report conducted by the Mountain Regional Field Office of the National Agricultural Statistics Service, USDA. Off-farm all wheat stocks in Arizona on March 1, 2018 were 4.03 million bushels, up 4 percent from March 1, 2016. Off-farm barley stocks totaled 46,000 bushels, up 171 percent from last year. Other Arizona grain stocks were not published separately to avoid disclosing data for individual operations.

COLORADO

All corn stocks in Colorado on March 1, 2018 were 80.41 million bushels, up 17 percent from March 1, 2017, according to the March 1 Agricultural Survey and March Grain Stocks Report conducted by the Mountain Regional Field Office of the National Agricultural Statistics Service, USDA. All corn stocks stored on farms amounted to 41.00 million bushels, up 5 percent from a year ago. All corn stored off farms amounted to 39.41 million bushels, up 32 percent from a year ago. Off-farm sorghum stocks were 4.48 million bushels, up from 3.42 million bushels stored on March 1, 2017. Off-farm oat stocks in Colorado were estimated at 37,000 bushels, down 5 percent from last year.

All wheat stocks in Colorado on March 1, 2018 were 44.94 million bushels, down 20 percent from March 1, 2017. All wheat stocks stored on farms amounted to 9.30 million bushels, down 31 percent from a year ago. All wheat stored off farms amounted to 35.64 million bushels, down 17 percent from a year ago. Off-farm barley stocks totaled 8.73 million bushels, up 8 percent from last year. Other Colorado grain stocks were not published separately to avoid disclosing data for individual operations.

MONTANA

Off-farm corn stocks in Montana on March 1, 2018 were 67,000 bushels, down 39 percent from March 1, 2017, according to the March 1 Agricultural Survey and March Grain Stocks Report conducted by the Mountain Regional Field Office of the National Agricultural Statistics Service, USDA. All oat stocks in Montana were estimated at 598,000 bushels, down 22 percent from last year. On-farm oat stocks were 540,000 bushels, down 18 percent from a year ago. Oats stored off-farm were down 46 percent from last year to 58,000 bushels. Montana barley stocks in all positions on March 1, 2018 were 24.94 million bushels, down 14 percent from a year ago. Barley stored on farms was 13.50 million bushels, down 21 percent from last year. Off-farm barley storage was down 5 percent from a year ago to 11.44 million bushels.

All wheat stocks in Montana on March 1, 2018 were 80.99 million bushels, down 25 percent from March 1, 2017. All wheat stocks stored on farms amounted to 51.00 million bushels, down 29 percent from a year ago. All wheat stored off farms amounted to 29.99 million bushels, down 16 percent from a year ago. Durum wheat stocks on March 1, 2018 were 11.93 million bushels, down 11 percent from a year ago. NEW MEXICO

New Mexico off-farm sorghum stocks on March 1, 2018 were 717,000 bushels, according to the March 1 Agricultural Survey and March Grain Stocks Report conducted by the Mountain Regional Field Office of the National Agricultural Statistics Service, USDA. Off-farm corn stocks in Utah on March 1, 2018 were 367,000 bushels, according to the March 1 Agricultural Survey and March Grain Stocks Report conducted by the Mountain Regional Field Office of the National Agricultural Statistics Service, USDA. Off-farm all wheat stocks in Utah on March 1, 2018 were 4.41 million bushels, up 7 percent from March 1, 2017. Off-farm barley stocks totaled 211,000 bushels, down 17 percent from last year. Other Utah grain stocks were not published separately to avoid disclosing data for individual operations.

UNITED STATES

Corn stocks in all positions on March 1, 2018 totaled 8.89 billion bushels, up 3 percent from March 1, 2017. Of the total stocks, 5.00 billion bushels were stored on farms, up 2 percent from a year earlier. Off-farm stocks, at 3.89 billion bushels, are up 5 percent from a year ago. The December 2017 - February 2018 indicated disappearance is 3.68 billion bushels, compared with 3.76 billion bushels during the same period last year.

Grain sorghum stored in all positions on March 1, 2018 totaled 138 million bushels, down 23 percent from a year ago. On-farm stocks, at 13.3 million bushels, are down 38 percent from last March. Off-farm stocks, at 125 million bushels, are down 22 percent from a year earlier. The December 2017 - February 2018 indicated disappearance from all positions is 89.2 million bushels, 30 percent below the same period last year.

Oats stored in all positions on March 1, 2018 totaled 55.1 million bushels, 13 percent below the stocks on March 1, 2017. Of the total stocks on hand, 17.2 million bushels were stored on farms, down 23 percent from a year ago. Off-farm stocks totaled 37.8 million bushels, down 7 percent from the previous year. Indicated disappearance during December 2017 - February 2018 totaled 11.4 million bushels, 7 percent below the same period a year ago.

Barley stocks in all positions on March 1, 2018 totaled 129 million bushels, down 11 percent from March 1, 2017. On-farm stocks are estimated at 48.5 million bushels, 14 percent below a year ago. Off-farm stocks, at 80.8 million bushels, are 8 percent below March 2017. The December 2017 - February 2018 indicated disappearance totaled 29.5 million bushels, 38 percent below the same period a year earlier.

All wheat stored in all positions on March 1, 2018 totaled 1.49 billion bushels, down 10 percent from a year ago. On-farm stocks are estimated at 259 million bushels, down 26 percent from last March. Off-farm stocks, at 1.24 billion bushels, are down 6 percent from a year ago. The December 2017 - February 2018 indicated disappearance is 379 million bushels, 10 percent below the same period a year earlier.

Durum wheat stocks in all positions on March 1, 2018 totaled 49.2 million bushels, down 7 percent from a year ago. On-farm stocks, at 25.8 million bushels, are down 20 percent from March 1, 2017. Off-farm stocks totaled 23.4 million bushels, up 14 percent from a year ago. The December 2017 - February 2018 indicated disappearance of 6.86 million bushels is 66 percent below the same period a year earlier.

Sunflower stocks in all positions on March 1, 2018 totaled 1.24 billion pounds, 8 percent below March 1, 2017. All stocks stored on farms totaled 546 million pounds and off-farm stocks totaled 692 million pounds. Stocks of oil type sunflower seed are 1.05 billion pounds; of this total, 482 million pounds are on-farm stocks and 565 million pounds are off-farm stocks. Non-oil sunflower stocks totaled 191 million pounds, with 64.4 million pounds stored on the farm and 127 million pounds stored off the farm.

Soybeans stored in all positions on March 1, 2018 totaled 2.11 billion bushels, up 21 percent from March 1, 2017. Soybean stocks stored on farms are estimated at 855 million bushels, up 28 percent from a year ago. Off-farm stocks, at 1.25 billion bushels, are up 17 percent from last March. Indicated disappearance for the December 2017 - February 2018 quarter totaled 1.05 billion bushels, down 9 percent from the same period a year earlier.
