NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PROPOSED VACATING OF A STREET AND AN ALLEY IN TOWNER, COUNTY OF KIOWA, STATE OF COLORADO
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bartlett Grain Company has petitioned the Board of County Commissioners of Kiowa County to vacate a section of First Street and a section of alley in the
unincorporated town of Towner, Colorado. A public hearing will be held before the Kiowa County Board of County Commissioners at the date, time and location specified below:
DATE AND TIME OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONER'S HEARING: May 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
LOCATION OF HEARING: Basement Meeting Room of the Kiowa County Courthouse, 1305 Goff Street, Eads, Colorado.
PURPOSE: The purpose of the hearing is to provide the public with an opportunity to comment upon the requested approval of the vacation of the section of First Street and the alley described as follows;
A portion of First Street extending northward from the north line of the Colorado Highway 96, also known as Wheatland Avenue, which portion of said First Street is located between Block 2 and Block 3 of the Original Town of Towner, County of Kiowa, State of Colorado, according to the recorded plat thereof.
A parcel of land which is the north-south alley in Block 2 beginning from the intersection of Colorado Highway 96, aka Wheatland Avenue, northerly through the north line of said Block 2 of the Original Town of Towner, County of Kiowa, State of Colorado, according to the recorded plat thereof.
Any person in support of, or objecting to, the proposed Vacating may appear at such date, time, and place indicated above to address the County Commissioners, or may send written comments to the Kiowa County Board of County Commissioners prior to the hearing at PO Box 100, Eads, CO 81036.
