  • A two-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 287 at the three-mile corner. It was foggy and the highway slick at the time. The road was closed about seven hours.
  • Kit Carson Clips- Marilyn White: It rained like heck. Puddles everywhere. I like rain more than snow anyway.
  • East End Events- Sharon Scott: It tried to rain but just couldn’t get the job done. What we need is a toad-strangler.

  • The Eads Town Board agreed to have a fiber connection installed.
  • Jim Civis, long time auctioneer, has been inducted into the Colorado Auctioneer’s Hall of Fame.

40 Years Ago - January 17, 1986

  • William Woelk, Eads High School Business Education teacher, will be teaching an evening class “Introduction to Apple Writer Word Processing.”

50 Years Ago - January 161976

  • The Eads Board of Trustees approved a building permit allowing insurance man Eldon Reinert to construct a commercial building in either of two locations on Maine Street.
