- USDA Update- Rod Johnson: The office moved went very well, except for the switch of data transmission lines for our computers. Still putting things away but should be pretty much back in business the week after Thanksgiving.

- Heidi Weirich, Jason Weirich, and Megan Fickenscher were the top three livestock record book awards with near-perfect scores.
- The 4-H Council selected Edith Koeller for the annual Meritorious Service award.
40 Years Ago - November 30, 1984
- Nearly 80 Senior Citizens from Eads and nearby, as well as 21 senior citizens from the Haswell community, were treated to an early Thanksgiving dinner as guest of the RE-1 School District.

- The establishment of the Kiowa County Centennial-Bicentennial Committee enables the committee to be designated as a “Centennial-Bicentennial Community,” which qualifies to be eligible to apply for cost-share funding of special projects.

- Towner- LaVerne Vanderwork purchased a new “Aeroplane.”
