- Kelly Jackson won the blue ribbon for his country cured ham at a convention of the Colorado Frozen Food Locker Association held in Denver.
- We are pleased to see improvements in the Town of Eads, and believe the proposal to bring in natural gas will mark a definite period of progress.
- Former Kiowa County resident R.V. McFarlane wrote informing of his recent move to Geddes, South Dakota, where he has a “modern house and REA electric service.
- Ted Oswald of Kit Carson was in town and took home a supply of pitchforks and scoop shovel handles, among other things. It looks like somebody may be in for a little work.
