  • Lamar Community College hosted an opportunity for community member to tour its newly expanded and renovated Equine complex.
  • Kit Carson Clips- Marilyn White: We got up Sunday morning to three inches of good, wet snow. This is great for the wheat.
  • The Classy Lassie Red Hatters ladies of Eads met at K&M Ranch House for breakfast.

25 Years Ago - November 19, 1999

  • Wild Horse Roundup- Curtis Schrimp: I’ve seen 4 or 5 fire vehicles going west. I could see a lot of smoke and it looked to be southwest of Aroya. There have been quite few fires in the area lately.

40 Years Ago - November 23, 1984

  • A new dog pound its being constructed at the Kiowa County Fairgrounds and will be ready for use when the Eads new dog ordinance goes into effect.
  • Plainview Knowledge Bowl team won the first place trophy in the Annual Southeastern BOCES Knowledge Bowl meet.

50 Years Ago - November 22, 1974

  • Construction of the UHF tower in Kiowa and Cheyenne Counties was signed by the commissioners in both counties.
  • Eads American Legion Post 125 received a plaque designating the it top post in district 2. Also, a certificate of Post Distinction in recognition to the strength of American Legion continuing service and activities dedicated to the welfare of the community.

75 Years Ago - November, 1949

  • Patrons of the proposed telephone line through Prairie Queen met and made plans to purchase material for the line.

100 Years Ago - November, 1924

  • The Commercial Hotel installed a complete new heating plant which made it “modern in every respect.”
