- Dawna Peck received a plaque from the Eads Board of Trustees in recognition being designated by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks as Certified Municipal Clerk.

- The Southeast Colorado Power Board of Directors approve the 1985 budget which had no rate increase for the next year.
- The Eads Chamber of Commerce Christmas Auction, held at the school gym, was termed a success.
50 Years Ago - December 26, 1975
- Through donations, the Eads Golf Course was able to purchase pipe to irrigate the freeways and improve the turf on the course.
- RE-1 School Board voted to suspend the contract with Ausmus Inc. to build the new school lunchroom.
- Snow removal continued December 22 from the mid-November blizzard
75 Years Ago - December 22, 1950
- The high temperature on Christmas day hit 72 degrees.
- We concluded that Eads has one of the most beautiful Christmas trees of any town in this entire area.
