- Eads Eagles boys’ basketball team came from behind to win the State Consolation Championship 52-51. Junior Weston Crow sank the free throws with no time on the clock.

- Nursing Home News- June Wilcox: Margaret Brown hit the jackpot when all seven of her sons came to visit her. They took her shopping in Lamar. She had a great time but was really tired when they returned.
40 Years Ago - March 22, 1985
- Catherin Scherler was named 1984 Kiowa County Farm-Ranch Wife
- As part of the 75th Anniversary of 4-H in Colorado, the Kiowa County 4-H members release about 200 balloons decorated with the Colorado 4-H logo, tagged with a 4-H member’s name and brief explanation of the event.
50 Years Ago - March 21, 1975
- Eads boys are Colorado State Class A Champions with a 66-46 win over Walsh.
- Washington County was the leader in 1974 winter wheat productions, followed by Kiowa County in second, then Kit Carson, Logan, and Yuma.
75 Years Ago - March 24, 1950
- Farmers from Strasburg visited the Prairie Queen community to study the new telephone line in hopes of building a similar project there.
