- Wild Horse Roundup-Curtis Schrimp: I went to Limon so Dr. Hines could fill in about half a tooth that broke out. It don’t make my smile any prettier, but it filled in a vacant spot.

- This year Kiowa County paid the Colorado Department of Health $500 registration fee for both the Eads & Haswell dumps. For the fiscal year 1994, the Department of Health wants each dump to pay $1000.

- Nursing Home News-LaVerne Fischer: We were surprised by two early trick or treaters who pulled a switch and treated everyone to delicious homemade cookies.

- Engineman Second Class Herbert D. Hogan, USN, son of Mr. & Mr. Earl T. Hogan of Kit Carson, helped clean and paint the “Save the Children Center” at Qui Nhon, Vietnam. “Save the Children Center” is a hospital and orphanage maintained by Australian volunteers for the benefit of Vietnamese children.
