- Kit Carson Clips- Marilyn White: Wild Horse Community Club ladies are preparing a soup dinner on Election Day. Three kinds of homemade soup, a variety of pies, as well as cinnamon rolls.

- CDOT announced the Colorado & Kansas Railroad Company has been selected to operate the Towner rail line.

- In a special election, Kiowa County School District Re-2 voted to increase the mill levy for the general fund.
- Otero Tired Old Timers Softball team finished second in a fast pitch tournament in Pueblo. Gail Crawford of Eads was a member of the team.
