Plainview Junior High Knowledge team places first at Vilas meet
January 31, Plainview’s junior high knowledge team headed to the Vilas Middle School Meet, where they placed first in the seventh grade division. They finished with a score of 69 points, with 22 on the written round, 13 on the first oral round, and 17 on both the second and third oral rounds. They scored higher than the first place team in the eighth grade division.
Others placing in the seventh grade division were Flagler (second) and Eads (third). In the eighth grade division, Walsh placed first with a score of 59; Holly placed second, and Flagler placed third.
February 7, the team competed in the Campo Meet. Results will be announced soon. Members of the junior high team are Jaxson Specht and Gael Enriquez-Munoz. They are coached by Ruth Fees, Plainview English teacher.
