Rhealie Rittgers named good citizen from Eads High School
Rhealie Krentzlyn Rittgers, daughter of Robert and Jacqueline Rittgers, was named Good Citizen from Eads High School.
During Rhealie’s senior year, she serves as president of four organizations which include NHS (National Honor Society), STAND (Students Taking A New Direction), STUCO (Student Council), FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and FFA (National FFA Organization). She was a member of these organizations throughout high school plus FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) which ultimately prepared her for the top leadership position in these four organizations.
Rhealie was awarded the HOBY (Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership) Award and attended the leadership conference during her sophomore year. She was a state qualifier in FBLA two years and also received the Society of Women Engineers Merit Award during high school.
Her efforts to serve the community are numerous. Rhealie became a community activist. Through the pandemic, the theater board members worried that they would have to close the doors; not just because of restrictions, but because of the small amount of money the theater was making. Seeing a solution to this problem, Rhealie and a friend decided to become involved with this non-profit. They worked to improve the theater’s advertising and marketing plus generated new ideas that would help develop a larger consumer base.
In addition to Rhealie’s school activities, she works. Her work experience includes Eads Swimming Pool, Blue Roof HydroFarm, The Maine Scoop, and Eads Consumers Supply.
Rhealie writes in her essay, “Our country greatly depends on the service of others. America is a great place to live because of the service of its people throughout time. Throughout history, our country has always been supported by those that serve in the battlefield and those that serve in their home and communities. These are the people that serve and contribute to the welfare of others. Actions to serve our country and others, make the country stronger.”
Having a passion for others, Rhealie plans to pursue a career in dental hygiene. After high school, she will attend Colby Community College and earn her associates degree. Rhealie will then apply to the dental hygiene program at Colby in May of 2023 completing the two–year program to become a licensed hygienist.
