Update 5: At 5:00 p.m. multiple severe thunderstorm warning continued to be issued across far northeast Colorado as storms continued to track to the north. At least four tornado warnings were active in northwest Kansas. Tornado warnings were also being issued in western Oklahoma and north central Texas. Update 2: Shortly after 3:00 p.m., authorities were reporting on social media damage to buildings from suspected tornadoes. As many as 10 homes were reported damaged in Elbert County by Elizabeth Fire. Nearly double that number were believe to be damaged to the north near Bennett in Arapahoe and Adams counties. Power was also out in parts of the area, with crews responding.

Update 1: Around 1:30 p.m., a tornado warning was issued in western Arapahoe county for a rapidly moving system that residents in the area said was “pouring rain” and producing large hail. By 2:00 p.m., the storm cell had moved northeast into Adams County, which also included a tornado warning. That storm cell, the most organized of the afternoon as of this writing, was generally moving north northeast into the watch area. Smaller cells around and north of Fort Collins were also showing on radar, but did not including warnings.
