ORDINANCE #283

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PROHIBITION OF THE USE OF SNOW CHAINS WITHIN THE TOWN OF CHEYENNE WELLS, COLORADO, TOWN LIMITS.

WHEREAS, the use of snow chains on vehicles or heavy equipment on paved areas can cause excessive, noise, vibration, and extreme damage to paved approaches/driveways, drainage pans, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and roadway surfaces. 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF CHEYENNE WELLS, COLORADO:

The use of any type of snow chains on the cement approaches/driveways, drainage pans, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and paved roadways of the Town of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado is hereby prohibited.

First reading and ordered published this 5^th day of March, 2024, to be considered for final adoption at their regular meeting on the 9^th day of April, 2024.
