The Regular meeting of the Kiowa County Commissioners was called to order on January 26, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Donald Oswald. Commissioner Robertson opened the meeting with prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has been asked to investigate an officer-involved shooting which happened in Park County Thursday.
Around 7:50 p.m., Park County Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on CSH 285 near Bailey when the driver of a Toyota Land Cruiser failed to stop and began driving at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. A short pursuit was ended to protect the public from the suspect’s erratic and dangerous driving.
Deputies later located the vehicle in a ditch following a search of Highway 285 near Grant.
The poorest members of our society are likely to benefit the least from a widespread transition to electric vehicles (EVs) for a few reasons.

RESOLUTION FOR LICENSING AND INSPECTION FOR AMBULANCE SERVICE
On the 10th of January, 2023 the following was adopted.
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, the 31st day of January, 1995, the Resolution for Licensing and Inspection of Ambulance Service was amended by the Board of County Commissioners of Kiowa County Colorado, the following:
That the prior Resolution entitled "AMBULANCE-PERMANENT LICENSING RESOLUTION", dated January, 1978 and any subsequent resolutions were hereby repealed.
