A man killed in a crash early Friday morning on Highway 287 north of Eads has been identified as Christopher W. Northcutt.
(BPT) - With the snow melted and the ground thawed, many eager homeowners and landscape professionals across the country will roll up their sleeves and reach for their shovels to start projects that require digging this spring.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife staff performed full decontaminations on four boats infested with zebra or quagga mussels between April 6-13. Each boat came into Colorado from another state and was intercepted at watercraft inspection and decontamination stations. CPW's Aquatic Nuisance Species program has intercepted 122 infested boats since the program began in 2008.

Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site Superintendent Alexa Roberts is inviting the public to join in celebrating the 10th anniversary of the site’s opening. The park was dedicated on April 28, 2007, to enhance cultural understanding by educating the public about the Sand Creek Massacre. A series of free events is scheduled to mark this milestone in the history of the site.
