69 Children Were Unbuckled

Last year, unbuckled fatalities accounted for nearly half of the passenger vehicle traffic deaths in Colorado. In response to particularly low seat belt use rates in rural areas, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Colorado State Patrol (CSP) and local law enforcement agencies recently conducted Click It or Ticket heightened seat belt enforcement in rural counties across the state.

Directions

Rural Students Converging in Eads to Explore Technology Careers

The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) will host over 250 students from 12 southeastern Colorado school districts for the second annual Dream Big Event at Eads High School April 27.

The event will connect rural students with industry leaders and professors from Colorado’s top technology companies and universities in order to increase students’ exposure and interest in pursuing careers in STEM related fields through hands-on demonstrations and interactive activities.

Loyd O'Neal III 
(April 9, 1984 - April 1, 2017) 

Loyd was born in San Luis Obispo, CA to Tina O'Neal & Kenneth Allen. He didn't know his birth father but at the age of 4 his mother met and eventually married Kelly Grabenstein, who he considered his dad. He had 2 stepsisters Ashley & Melisa. The family lived in California and for a bit to Texas and instilled in him a deep love of the ocean.
