Notice is hereby given that: a proposed Resolution for a Supplemental Budget and Appropriation has been submitted to the Kiowa County Public Library District Board of Trustees for the current 2016 year for the purpose of expending unappropriated revenue. Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has ordered flags be lowered to half-staff on Friday, December 2, on all public buildings statewide in memory of Colorado State Patrol Trooper Cody Donahue. Flags should be lowered from sunrise to sunset.
Trooper Donahue, 34, was struck and killed while investigating a crash on I-25 south of Castle Rock on the afternoon of November 25, 2016. He had served as a Colorado State Trooper for 11 years.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
The Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) is announcing that three industrial hemp seed varieties have passed the statewide THC validation and observation trial and are now eligible to be grown by the Colorado Seed Growers Association for production of “CDA Approved Certified Seed.”
