Fort Hays State University has named 1,646 students to the Deans' Honor Roll for the fall 2023 semester.

The list included Samantha Courkamp of Eads. Samantha graduated from Eads High School in May 2023

The Deans' Honor Roll includes undergraduate students only. To be eligible, students must have completed 12 or more credit hours and earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.60 for the semester. Full-time on-campus and FHSU Virtual College students are eligible.

The Guardians of the Fort Wallace Museum will host their annual symposium and banquet March 16, at the museum, with symposium beginning at 8:30 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time and Capt. Keogh’s Emerald Banquet at 5:00 p.m. MDT.

March 1, the Plainview Junior High Knowledge Team placed third in the seventh-grade division at the Manzanola Meet. The day began early with a 6:00 a.m. departure; but once the team arrived, they were ready to compete. 

They had the highest written-round score of the seventh-grade teams. 

For the first oral round they competed against Holly and Flagler; the Hawks scored 9, while Flagler scored 2 and Holly dominated with 22 points.
