Kenneth Ralph Koch of Greeley passed away September 15, 2018, in Greeley. He was born February 25, 1944, in Eads to Ralph and Ruth (Downs) Koch.
Kenneth graduated from Eads High School and Lamar Community College. He was licensed in cosmetology and an instructor at Highland Hills Beauty Academy, and owned Hair Affair by Ken in Greeley.
Kiowa County will see some of the coolest temperatures in months this weekend, including a low in the 40s not seen since last spring.
Friday's high will be in the mid-70s under clear and sunny skies, which expected to persist throughout the weekend. Overnight, the low will drop to the mid-40s to help mark the first day of fall Saturday.
Temperatures rebound to the low 80s by Saturday afternoon, with the overnight low dropping to around 50. Winds will be out of the south in the 5-15 mile per hour range.

The Regular Meeting of the Town of Eads Board of Trustees was called to order by Mayor Shields, Tuesday August 14, 2018 at 4:59 p.m. in the Town Hall. Shealynn McCracken, Assistant Town Clerk, took roll call:

Local and area students from Colorado are among 616 who completed associate, bachelor's or graduate degrees at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas, in the summer 2018 term.
Graduates are listed with their degrees and majors and, in parentheses, areas of concentration. The university conferred 149 graduate degrees (master's, Education Specialist and Doctor of Nursing Practice), 454 bachelor's degrees and 13 associate degrees.
