Brown was taken to the Weld County Jail where he is currently being held on $150,000 bond and faces charges of second degree murder and three counts of felony menacing.

Jesus Lozano, 51, was shot at a rural property owned by his fiance in the 900 block of Wilking Way August 13. He was later pronounced dead at an Alamosa hospital.

Initial information suggests there may have been a disturbance at the home leading up to the shooting. It is thought that Brown is a family acquaintance.

Deputies with the Costilla County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, continue to investigate the incident.
