A huge thank you to all the exhibitors, participants, and amazing volunteers who made this year's Kiowa County Fair another success!

At the end of the second weekend of September we have saw the 2025 Kiowa county Fair and Rodeo come and go. 

I have had many ask me if I am glad that it is over. I usually answer yes, but that is not true. Yes, I am glad the long days that can be stressful and unpredictable are over. I do miss the values of hard work that youth learn by showing their livestock. I miss seeing old friends and meeting new ones that come and enjoy all the activities that our little fair offers. I miss seeing our community and county come together to display entries and promote the fair and rodeo. 

Sometimes I think that in way the fair is never over, as we start thinking about next year and planning so that the county and all those that attend can have the best experience possible. 

I want to thank those that are always working on this event. Thank you to the Fair board members that put in countless volunteer hours, to their family and friends that help them and support them. To the Livestock and Open committees these volunteers help to plan and ensure these events run smoothly.  Thank you to the youth, parents and leaders of the 4-H and FFA programs that are helping to build future generations of fair help and goers.
