New Business

Bobbi Uhland would like to put in a cul-de-sac with higher end houses, on her property at the East end of town. This would require the town to vacate the streets that are there now. We would have to hire engineers to do this project; the board tabled this and would like to have more time to think about it.

Gary Crow and Jay Wilson were present to ask about Gary tapping into his water and sewer lines to add a spot for his family to move a camper onto the land to live in. Gary was asking about the double minimum charge since this is a camper and not a house. The board was going to discuss it.

Cindy McLoud talked about the sidewalk grant, it was completed. She also said that Terry Aldridge would like to get someone to do the sidewalks from the bank to the post office. She is working on grants for the CLCEC to finish the building where they want to put the library.

Sheriff Williams gave his monthly reports, and asked about golf carts, side-by-sides etc. with people under 16 driving. We are having young kids and way too many people on the golf carts. You must have a valid driver’s license, and the vehicles must be street legal, for anyone riding them within the town.

Pool- The first part of the grant was accepted and now we go to stage 2 for the GOCO grant. Lisa will be putting in for other grants to help cover some of the cost of the pool. We are still looking for donors and in-kind services.

Adjournment

Meeting was adjourned 6:10 P.M.
