Eads Chamber of Commerce announces 2024 Volunteer of the Year
Nomination for Ken Flory as the 2024 Volunteer of the Year
Several years ago, a nice tall man moved to his wife’s hometown after returning from Florida where he worked for Lockheed Martin as a Logistics Engineer. Right away he started helping the Methodist church family by mowing the lawns around the church and large parking lot. He does maintenance work also at the parsonage and church. Each week he plans and programs the music for church services at the Eads Community Church.

In recent years he has been active in the county Ambulance Service of all aspects of training, scheduling, and machine repair. Most admirable to all of us is that this man is On Call 24 hours a day seven days a week. He responds to calls on the highways and roads between Arlington and Towner in our county which is over 90 miles! Plus, he transports flight crews from the Helipad to and from the hospital to prepare patients for flights to the cities. He also drives the ambulance to several cities such as Pueblo, Colorado Springs, Denver and other cities as requested.
This man is Ken Flory of Eads, formerly of Pueblo and Colorado State University Pueblo.
Ken has also served on the Hospital Board, Crow-Luther Board and attends many community meetings with his wife, Diana, who is the Kiowa County Treasurer. Thank you, Ken, for your diligent help to our people and all people.
