Plainview school held their annual Knowledge Bowl on Friday.
Congratulations to the Eads A team on taking first place and the Plainview A team taking second place. Team members for Plainview are:
Lydia Splitter, Grant Specht and Benje Davis. Ruth Fees is their coach.
Susan Greenfield's dad, Norman and her sister Sami and husband John spent the weekend with her. They went to the volleyball and football games on Friday evening between Eads and Kit Carson. On Saturday, they attended the Oktoberfest in Eads.
Cora Coffman went to Cheyenne Wells on Friday to watch her great-grandson Weslee play football against Cheraw. On Saturday, she had family from Wiley come to visit.
Carol Shalberg and her son Greg went to Lakin, KS on Friday to watch her grandson Dawsen play football.
The Kiowa County 1st Annual Oktoberfest was held at the fairgrounds in Eads this past Saturday. Although the attendance was very low, those attending enjoyed all the activities offered - the delicious German food
- the entertainment and the great weather. Tina Adamson and her crew are to be commended for all the creative decorating they did and the nice prizes offered to the winners of the various contests. Hopefully next year more people will take advantage of having a day of fun offered so close to home.
There will be a Wedding Shower for Trevor Carney and Kaylie Schneider on October 27th at the Towner Community Hall at 7p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
Everyone is busy getting their fall crops in before the weather turns bad. Have a great week!!
