How about those Broncos?  It's a good thing the Defense was playing well!!

Can you believe it's November already?  Thanksgiving isn't far away and Christmas is just around the corner after that.  We have certainly been having beautiful Fall weather but I suppose it will change before long, as it should.  We actually started putting some of our Christmas decorations up.  Much nicer to do it when it's warm and the ground isn't frozen.

The fall sports are into their final games before competing on the State level.  Kit Carson and Cheyenne Wells football teams won their games in 6-man football.  They will be playing each other this coming Saturday in either Carson or Cheyenne Wells. The Kit Carson, Cheyenne Wells and McClave girls volleyball teams won their districts and will meet up with Springfield, Holly and Wiley in the Regional playoffs on Thursday in Lamar.  We wish all of the teams good luck.

Several ladies attended the wedding shower for Trevor Carney and Kaylie Schneider Thursday evening at the Towner Community Hall.  They received lots of very nice gifts.

Merle and Carol Shalberg traveled to Syracuse, KS to watch their grandson Dawsen play football last Thursday evening. Another grandson, Brock Shalberg, came over from Wiley and joined them for the game.

Jim and MaryAnn Richardson's grandson Derek and wife Rachel of Long Beach, CA came Thursday for a visit.  On Friday, they went to Elkhart, KS to see Randy Richardson.

Last Saturday, Cora Coffman joined family members at the home of her daughter Sheila Brase for supper in honor of Jeff Brase's birthday.  Happy Birthday Jeff.  On Sunday, Cora's granddaughter Kelli Chavez and husband Sonny came and took her to Lamar for lunch and some shopping.

Dick, Kyle and I went to Garden City on Sunday for lunch and some shopping.

The "Trunk or Treat" held at the Sheridan Lake Bible Church on Saturday evening was well attended and everyone enjoyed the soup supper and other activities.

Connie Weber of Denver was here over the weekend to visit her parents, Denis and Theresa Weber and her brother, Jerry.

Vern and JoAnn Harris went to Las Animas Sunday afternoon to spend time with their Great-grandkids.

There will be a benefit Spaghetti dinner for Morgan and Tyler McCracken on November 5th.  Their home was damaged by an electrical fire.  Call Shannon Votruba for more information
