East End Events
Sorry for no news last week. I was under the weather (didn't feel good either). I need to make a correction from my last article. Lori Shalberg is doing "Immuno" treatments, not "Chemo" treatments.
Please continue to keep Jerry Weber in your prayers as he struggles to recover.
Ronnie and Gloria Weber and children are here to help his parents, Denis and Theresa Weber while Jerry is in the hospital.
The Donkey Basketball game last Thursday at Plainview School was a huge success. A large crowd from several surrounding communities enjoyed the entertainment and delicious supper. I applaud all of the people who were brave or ? enough to ride the donkeys.
Sunday before last, Larry and Judy Tuttle fixed lunch and took it out to Burl and Cathy Scherler. Burl and Cathy went to Pueblo this past Thursday to see his Dr. and he's doing fine after the knee surgery.
Cora Coffman and I went to Tribune a week ago Saturday and took some items to the Rummage Shop. Then we had lunch to celebrate Cora's birthday which was this past Friday. Happy Birthday Cora!! We enjoyed visiting with Cheri and Marilyn Hopkins, who had also brought items to the shop that morning.
Congratulations to Jeanie Smith and Caleb White on the birth of their son, Colton Jay who was born March 16.

Larry and Judy Tuttle went to Wichita, Kansas, last Sunday and had lunch with Jason Johnson. Then they went on to Cheney, Kansas, to attend the funeral of Larry's Aunt Dot Tuttle. Monday they visited with Larry's cousin Anita Kendall and husband Bryce in Haviland, Kansas, before returning home. They spent Tuesday and Wednesday at the home of their daughter Rhonda and family in Castle Rock. Are you guys worn out? I am just writing about your travels, Ha!
Cathy Scherler, Judy Tuttle and I attended the funeral for Bonnie Lessenden in Haswell Saturday morning.
Plainview High School track team traveled to Lamar on Saturday for their track meet. Lots of schools there and it was a good experience for the team.
