Terry and Areta Laird of Eads are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Shalyn Lea Laird, to Keith Edward Smith, son of Richard and Sharma Smith of Greeley.

Shalyn is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. She is a first grade teacher at Union Colony Elementary School in Greeley. Keith is a Loss Prevention and Safety Manager at Lowe’s Home Improvement store in Loveland.

Shalyn is the granddaughter of June Blooding of Eads. Keith is the grandson of Bill and Kelly Riddle of Prescott, Arizona.

The couple are planning a June 30, 2017, wedding in Longmont. They are registered at Honeymoon Fund Registry, Kohl’s, and Walmart.
