Forrest McCurren to perform free concert at Boggsville
The Las Animas Chamber of Commerce is proud to bring Forrest McCurren to the Boggsville Historic Site Friday, August 18, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until dusk.
It’s fun for the whole family, and admission is free. Bring along a picnic supper, a blanket and your lawn chairs. Enjoy the high lonesome country and low-down rock and roll of Forrest McCurren,
Currently on tour throughout Colorado, Wyoming, and Kansas, McCurren was born and raised in America’s heartland. With a tip of his hat to the songwriting greats of the past, he blazes his own musical trail. With wise words from waitresses, heartbroken high school football stars and tattooed trailer park lovers, McCurren writes songs for good people that got bad grades in school, are drunk on dreams, and still trying to figure out if life is sour or sweet. He will be joined on stage by his fiddle-playing wife, Margaret, who’s voice makes the angels scream “Sing it sister!”
So come out and have some summer fun, but please leave your dogs and alcohol at home. The Boggsville Historic Site is located at 28120 Colorado Highway 101 near Las Animas. It’s about two miles south of the Bent County Courthouse on Hwy 101.
