Jason Lenox saw on the news a run-away pig that had been captured in the Denver suburb of Aurora. He told his son, Justin, the Ag instructor and Future Farmers of America Advisor at Eads High School about the ordeal.

After Justin read the online article, he sent an email to Aurora Animal Control, which was temporarily housing Fred. He stated in his email if no one claims Fred, Fred would make a great addition to the Eads school Ag farm.

Staff from the shelter traveled to Eads to inspect the Ag farm. After the inspection they scheduled a time when Justin could come to Aurora to pick Fred up. 

Justin and student Nathan Lowe brought the 400-pound little guy to his new surroundings Friday.

From all reports, Fred seems to appreciate the rural life to that of the bustling city.
