Rusty Jay Paintin

March 4, 1969 - January 25, 2024

Rusty Jay Paintin was born March 4, 1969, in Burlington. He passed away January 23, 2024, at Swedish Hospital in Englewood.

Rusty is survived by Kathy Kregel of Wild Horse; children, Joe Paintin of Severance, and Kelsey (Berrie) Paintin of Weldona; 9 grandchildren; mother, Sandra Paintin of Flagler; siblings, Brenda Paintin of Wynona, Kansas, Justin (Jennifer) Paintin of Limon, and Bobbie (Brent) Paintin of Stratton; step children, Kayla (Mike) Buchannon of Kit Carson, Tyler (Veronica) Buzzard of Wiggins, and Jason Buzzard of Kit Carson; and many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Paintin; daughter, Stephanie Paintin; and stepson, Jeffrey Kregel.

Funeral services for Rusty Jay Paintin will be held February 2, 2024, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Kit Carson High School in Kit Carson. Burial will follow in the Kit Carson Cemetery.
