Hunter Education Course Being Offered in Walsenburg
Colorado Parks and Wildlife is offering a free Hunter Education Course, Nov. 2 - 4, at Lathrop State Park. This course is mandatory to receive a Colorado Hunter Education Card which is a requirement for purchasing a hunting license in Colorado.
The course will run from 4 to 9 p.m. each day and will be taught by the local CPW District Wildlife Manager. Class size is limited to 33 so pre-registration is highly encouraged. You must be at least 10 years of age to participate
Hunter education cards will be awarded to students upon successful completion of the course which includes class sessions, a written exam and a live-fire session. Rifles and ammunition for the live-fire portion will be provided. Absolutely no personal firearms are allowed.

All students must download and print a student consent form. The consent form must be brought to class signed. Students 17 years of age and younger need to have their parent or guardian sign the form.
Any students needing or requesting reasonable accommodations should also download, print, and complete the reasonable accommodations form. This form may be submitted to the instructor on the first day of class.
