The La Junta Police Department, with assistance from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, is investigating an apparent murder-suicide Tuesday night.

Officers were called to a home in the 1100 block of Smithland Avenue in La Junta shortly before midnight. Two adults and two children were found shot in the home. Two adults and one child were pronounced dead at the scene. The second child died after being transported to a Denver-area hospital.
