BOARD MEETING

June 13, 2023

The Kiowa County Hospital District Board met in special session on June 13, 2023, at 6:33 pm at

the Cobblestone Inn Meeting Room.

District Board members present were: Mary Eikner (by zoom), Doug Uhland, and Matt Prince.

Others present: Beth Bell and Shannon Dixon

CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order by Matt Prince, Chairman of the Board at 6:33 pm.

AGENDA

Doug Uhland made a motion to approve the agenda and Mary Eikner seconded it. All aye.

PUBLIC COMMENT

There was no public comment.

PRESENTATIONS:

Josh Ripplinger, Tu-Anh Bui Johnson and Joe Scaglione from Wold Architects and Engineers

presented their proposal for a Master Facility Plan.

Max Taylor and Steve Lewallen from HFG Architecture presented their proposal for a Master

Facility Plan.

Discussion followed. Doug Uhland made a motion to approve the hiring of Wold Architects and

Engineers to do a Master Facility Plan and Mary Eikner seconded it. All aye.

PHYSICIAN RECRUITMENT

Beth Bell has reached out to three recruiters. PX3, Jackson and Ironside. Fees and responsibilities

were discussed. Doug Uhland made a motion to approve Beth Bell to use Ironside and Jackson at

her discretion. Mary Eikner seconded it. All aye.

Dr. Thorndike will be signing a contract with KCHD and will begin working for us in August.

ADJOURNMENT

Doug Uhland made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mary Eikner seconded the motion. All aye.
