| Friday, February 10, 2017, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Kiowa County Sheriff’s Deputies in conjunction with the 15th Judicial Drug Task Force recovered a stolen vehicle in Eads, Colorado. Christina Herrera, Matthew Melgosa, and Aden Quiriarte-Jara were taken into custody and transported to Prowers County Jail. Drug paraphernalia and burglary tools were located inside the vehicle. Herrera and Melgosa were charged with Theft in violation of CRS 18-4-401(1)2(g) theft of property 5,000-20,000 dollars in value. | Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Kiowa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 68000 Block of County Road J, Sheridan Lake, to locate a wanted party, Jayce Baker. Deputies located Baker and he was taken into custody. He was transported to the Prowers County Jail where he was held on a warrant for Failure to Appear out of Cheyenne County, Colorado, with a $10,000 bond, and a warrant for Probation Violation out of Hamilton County, Kansas, with a $5,000 bond. | Jayce Baker (Sheridan Lake, Colorado) |
| Sunday, February 12, 2017, at approximately 9:33 a.m., a Kiowa County Sheriff’s Deputy contacted a vehicle for speeding on Highway 96, at approximately mile marker 191. Upon further investigation, it was determined the driver, Campbell, Jason was driving on a suspended license. | Sunday, February 19, 2017, at approximately 5:17 p.m., a Kiowa County Sheriff’s Deputy contacted a vehicle for speeding on Wansted, at the intersection with 9th street. February, 15 2017 the Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office contacted Nancy Green, 45 from Fort Collins, in connection with a hit and run. Green then fled the area, traveling west bound on state Highway 96 with speeds in excess of 100 mph. With coordination of the Colorado State Patrol and Crowley County Sheriff’s Office, Greens vehicle was disabled by spike strips approximately 49 miles west of Eads. Green was taken into custody and transported to Prowers County Jail where she was held on a $50,000 bond for the following charges: Vehicle eluding (18-9-116.5), Reckless Endangerment (18-3-208), Reckless Driving (42-4-1401) and Drove motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol (42-4-1301) | Nancy Green (Fort Collins, Colorado) |
