- The Eads Chamber of Commerce is putting final touches on the July 4 celebration. There will be free swimming, horseshoe pitching tournament, free watermelon, and fireworks to end the day.

- In their beautifully country home, Mr. & Mrs. C.A. Barber celebrated their wedding anniversary with fried chicken dinner. Croquet was played in the afternoon.
