- The Kiowa County Sheriff office, Kiowa County Fire Department, Prowers County Rural Fire, and Colorado State Patrol Hazardous Material unit responded to a overturned semi at Highway 287 and the underpass in Eads. The highway was closed nearly 19 hours for cleanup.
- Wild Horse Roundup- Curtis Schrimp: Did you know Wild Horse published a newspaper in 1915? It was gone when I came here in 1928. There was a newspaper in Kit Carson in 1928.

- The Eads-Wiley wrestling team will send four to the state wrestling tournament. They are Ryan Phillips, Ross Wollert, Dustin Uhland, and J.J. Stolzenberger.

- Eads was eliminated as a proposed 250-bed medium security prison.
50 Years Ago - February 14, 1975
- Peoples Natural Gas customers will receive a refund in the form of a credit on their February bill.
75 Years Ago - February 17, 1950
- The Hart-Bartlett-Sturtevant Grain Co. of Kansas City, Missouri, making plans to build a 400,000 bushel grain elevator in Eads.
