- Kiowa County Sheriff Forrest Frazee implement a Stage 1 Fire restriction in unincorporated areas of the county due to dry conditions and high to very high fire danger.
- CSP is investigating 2 traffic crashes involving the same cow in Kiowa County.

- Peoples Natural Gas is asking for a raise in graduated rates plus an increase in the minimum monthly charge.
- Of the 72 dead waterfowl tested at Turks Pond in the Two Buttes area, 70 exhibited a positive reaction and are suffering from avian cholera.

- Community Public Sale to be held on the lots just north of the First National Bank building in Eads.
- Eads and Lamar boys matched wits and skill on the bowling alley in Eads. Lamar won by one game.

- Sheridan Lake Items: Quite a number of our citizens drove to Sharon Springs to see the new lake.
