• As the West End Turns- Michelle Wyckoff: The West End Golden Age Seniors had their monthly meeting and discussed their upcoming trip to the State Fair.
• About Town- Melissa Peterson/Doris Lessenden: The Artist of the Plains held their 4^th annual ice cream social.
• Wild Horse Roundup- Curtis Schrimp: This week has been a motorcycle week. I seen 19 in one bunch and then some singles headed east. The last couple of days seen smaller bunches headed west.
• Vivian Gifford and James Siefkas will be representing Prairie Pines Assisted Living Center as Silver King & Queen contestants in the Arkansas Valley Fair.

• Kiowa County District RE-1 & RE-2 announced their policy for determining eligibility receiving free and reduced meals.
• High Plains 10-year-old Bambino All Star team won the championship in the State Tournament in Pueblo.

• The beginning of the end of Eads long awaited tennis court is happening. The asphalt was laid and with a little bit of luck the court may be ready to test out before the winter months.
