Southeast Colorado weekend weather outlook: Drier and heating up
After two days of afternoon thunderstorms, southeast Colorado, including Kiowa and Cheyenne counties, begins to see rising temperatures and break from rain.
Friday remains cool, with highs only in the upper 70s before dropping into the upper 50s overnight. Thunderstorms are possible further west, mainly in southern mountains, though some may reach the eastern plains
Sunny skies and mid-80s are forecast for Saturday, returning to the upper 50s Saturday night. Rain is not expected.
Highs in the 90s return Sunday, and are expected to continue at least through Thursday. Overnight lows will be in the 60s.
While still early, there is some potential for rain to return Tuesday evening near Eads, and Wednesday evening near Cheyenne Wells.
Check back Sunday for an updated look at weather for the week ahead.
