Sunny, warm days ahead for Eads and Kiowa County, with highs near 85 on Tuesday
Sunny skies and above-normal warmth will dominate the forecast for Eads and the rest of Kiowa County from Monday through Wednesday, with highs near 79 degrees Monday, 85 on Tuesday and 79 on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo.
Monday will be sunny, with a high near 79 and a south wind of 10 to 15 mph. Skies stay mostly clear Monday night, with a low around 51 and winds easing to light and variable.
“Warm and dry conditions will continue through the rest of this week,” a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Pueblo wrote in Sunday’s Area Forecast Discussion. The forecaster noted that high pressure remains in place over southeastern Colorado.
No precipitation or fire-weather warnings in the forecast
No watches, warnings or advisories were listed for the Pueblo forecast area in Sunday night’s discussion, and the Eads forecast calls for sunshine every day through the weekend. Forecasters said Tuesday will be the warmest day of the week across the plains, with mid-80s expected. Any scattered showers Tuesday are most likely to stay over the mountains, with only a low chance of one or two reaching toward Interstate 25.

Tuesday and Wednesday
Tuesday will be sunny and the warmest day of the week, with a high near 85 and light winds around 5 mph. Overnight lows will hold in the low to mid-50s.
Wednesday stays sunny with a high near 79 and a north-northwest wind of 5 to 10 mph that turns southeast in the afternoon. The low Wednesday night is around 53.
Extended outlook
Thursday is forecast to be sunny with a high near 78, and Friday sunny with a high near 77. South winds of 5 to 15 mph are expected Friday, increasing Friday night to around 15 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Forecasters said a more complicated pattern could develop by the weekend, with a trough possibly approaching from the Pacific Northwest early next week. They cautioned that models still disagree and that the forecast could change. Extended Climate Prediction Center outlook probabilities were not included because the precise National Weather Service forecast already covers Thursday and Friday.
Residents should check updated forecasts later in the week as the pattern becomes less certain.
