Town of Eads Board of Trustees meeting minutes - April 14, 2020

The Regular Meeting of the Town of Eads Board of Trustees was called to order by Mayor Shields, Tuesday April 14, 2020 at 5:01 p.m. on a conference call. Town Clerk, Robin Fox, took roll call:

  • Mayor – Joe D. Shields- Present
  • Trustees – Present –Meghan Buck, Terry Riley, Dennis Pearson, Justin McLoud and Karl Eikenberg
  • Absent – Kathy McCracken
  • Town Clerk- Robin Fox –Present
  • Assistant Clerk- Barbara Scranton-Present
  • Director of Public Works- Van Brown- Present

Minutes­- Terry Riley moved to approve the minutes with corrections. Meghan Buck seconded, motion passed unanimously.

Approval of Bills – The finance committee reviewed the bills. Dennis Pearson moved to approve payment of the bills for April 2020. Justin McLoud seconded, motion passed unanimously.

Old Business:

Pool- Justin McLoud has been in contact with Dannah Koeniger. She is working on the grants for the prospective new pool.

The meeting that was planned with the architect was canceled for the health safety of those involved and the public. They are planning to reschedule the meeting using a different forum.

New Business:

No new business at this time.

Bring Up Items

Spring/Summer Chip Seal – Van Brown asked how the board would like him to prioritize the roads that need work. The Board decided it would be best if Van uses his discretion to determine the roads that will be priority for repair.

Building Permits – Because the office staff is working out of the office, paper building permits are not being issued. A list of permits are being tracked. Van Brown is checking on the buildings/shipping containers being put in to make sure they are in compliance with town ordinance. When the Town Clerk returns to the office permits will be issued and fees collected.

Adjournment- Terry Riley motioned to adjourn the meeting at 5:33 pm. Justin McLoud seconded, motion passed unanimously.
