- Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site (NHS) is recruiting for volunteers to assist staff with visitor services such as welcoming and orienting the public and presenting short interpretive programs. Volunteers will be trained to provide a variety of services, such as welcoming and orienting visitors to the park, providing area information, answering questions about the historic site, running a cash register, and, for those interested, planning and presenting a short talk on the Sand Creek Massacre. Due to the remote location of the park, volunteers must provide their own transportation.
