[UPDATED] Ranching in Drought Workshop Coming to La Junta

The United States Department of Agriculture and Colorado State University Extension Range School will be presenting a workshop to area producers entitled Ranching in Drought.

Workshop topics include drought planning and goal setting, drought assistance programs, animal health concerns in drought, flexible grazing strategies, and the latest weather and climate outlooks. A discussion of drought issues will also be held, along with sharing of ideas among area ranchers.

The workshop will be held August 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Otero Junior College Student Center, 1802 Colorado Avenue in La Junta. Lunch will be provided.
