The Weisbrod Hospital and Nursing Home Auxiliary ladies strives to bring more

cheer to the residents and happenings at the Extended Care Unit. The members met November 13 and will meet again December 11th. LaVerle Kelley, Loretta Seibel, Alice Glover, and Doris Lessenden volunteered to play Bunco at the ECU the evening of the 13th.

They made final plans for their major fundraiser, the annual Fall Bazaar, which was first begun 39 years ago by Linda Trosper, Suzanne Williams, and Virgyln Griswould as key planners.

Linda Trosper requested money from Treasurer Loretta Siebel for room rent and Eads Bucks to pay helpers. Linda reported that there were 36 ½ tables and five or six people on a waiting list. She gave a check to the Treasurer from Wally Mosher in thanks for our work and good facility in memory of his aunt, Pansy Mosher Foxworthy who is a 102-year-old resident at the ECU. LaVerle Kelley, Cleta Covalt, Loretta Seibel, Alice Glover, and Opal Miner volunteered to care for the Auxiliary Table of items to sell and for tickets for the drawing of prizes. Madonna Pollreis with her hand made textiles will be at the end of the table with Nurse Ellen Lane, who will be educating people about strokes.

Tonya Lane of the Activities Department told more about her decorating plans for the community Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas. We will plan to have a committee

judge the decorated doors December 11 after our monthly meeting.

The Auxiliary gave Tonya a check to buy items for the resident’s red stockings for Christmas Eve. Tonya told about other events she is planning and how we might be able to help. We signed a card for our member, Barb Diel, who moved to Denver. We will miss this dedicated member very much.

Ladies or men are welcome to join us as an active member for dues of $5 or inactive for dues of $10. Please feel welcome to join us at lunch in the south room of J J’s Restaurant.
