Weisbrod Hospital Auxiliary Meeting Notes
By Doris Lessenden
Ladies of the Weisbrod Hospital Auxiliary met at the J J’s Ranch House for lunch and a business meeting on April 9th. Their next meeting will be May 9th at 11:00 a.m. We welcome visitors and potential members. President Alice Glover chaired the meeting. She brought her sister, Mary Hood, who is looking for a home to move to in Eads.
The majority of the meeting dealt with the activities of National Hospital Week as Teri Castle of the Activities Department up-dated the ladies on the plans for the dress days and activities of May 8th to 12th. The week will climax in a Community Barbeque on Friday May 12th at 5:00 p.m. During the week, the residents will enjoy watching the staff dress in costumes for the dress days. They will have a balloon lift with the Adopted Grandchildren, a pot luck lunch with the staff, wheel chair races, plant flowers in patio pots and the raised garden and other activities.
There have been three resident birthday parties this month that were more special with the new party supplies that the Auxiliary bought. The new printer machine we bought has enabled Teri and Kelly Darnell to make prettier birthday signs. The residents also
enjoyed hearing Phil Pollreis play his one-man band music on the patio under tents on Friday April 7th. They enjoyed eating out at the Gas and Grill so much that another trip is planned this month
