Last week I was out and about, taking in nature’s grandeur, the rains have made a difference. Although the flora has cured, there is still a green tint over the landscape and all the ponds and reservoirs are full. The Republican River south of Flagler is running some, the Flagler Dam has filled up four times, there is a possibility that the downstream users in Nebraska and Kansas may not call for water. I have yet to figure out why out-of-state users have precedence over local users. I will have to check but I thought that water rights seniority was a state issue.
