How Apple and Google let your phone warn you if you've been exposed to the coronavirus while protecting your privacy

Virginia has enabled app-less COVID-19 exposure notification services for iPhone users, joining California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, Washington, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. This means iPhone users in those states won’t need to install exposure notification apps and can instead turn on notifications in the phone’s settings.

A service celebrating Becky's life will be held Friday, February 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Cheyenne Wells.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25 at Brown Funeral Home in Cheyenne Wells.

Private family interment will take place in the Brandon Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

One arrested on felony drug charge in Kiowa County

The Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday that one person was arrested earlier in February on felony drug charges.

According to information provided by KCSO, deputies responded to a report of an unresponsive person in a vehicle on Highway 96 between Chivington and Brandon in eastern Kiowa County. At the scene, deputies found the woman, identified as Yadira Chavarria-Enriquez, incoherent and called for an ambulance while providing basic medical care until emergency medical services arrived.
