Calving and calf care clinic set for February
Colorado State University (CSU) Extension will be hosting a Calving and Calf Care Clinic on February 7, 2026 at the Kit Carson County Fairgrounds in Burlington, Colorado.
CSU Extension Veterinarian, Dr. Kathy Whitman will be leading this producer education program which will cover several topics including dystocia management, neonatal calf health, utilizing epidurals, handling colostrum and stressed calves.
Participants will be engaged in hands on activities during this event using calving simulators.
The program will start at 9:00 am and end at 3:00 pm.

Magdalen Haase named to Missouri State University's fall 2025 dean's list
Each semester, students at Missouri State University who attain academic excellence are named to the dean's list.
For undergraduate students, criteria include enrollment in at least 12 credit hours during the fall semester and at least a 3.50 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
Magdalen Haase from Eads made the list. Haase was among more than 5,400 students named to the fall 2025 dean's list.
